SCC examination regulations
Exam Format
The basic SCC exam (B-VCA) consists of a test of 40 questions. Exam duration: maximum 1 hr. – Reading exam: maximum 1 h15. If the result is 64.5% or higher, you have passed.
The SCC exam for operational managers (SCO-LSC) and the exam for intermediaries and managers of an employment agency (SID-LSI) consist of a test of 70 questions. – Exam duration: maximum 1 h 15. If the result is 64.5% or higher, you have passed.
During the exam, Prevom may call upon a person with whom it has a contractual relationship.
This person may only provide explanations about the exam regulations and the exam procedure in the participant’s language. The person is under the supervision of the examiner at all times and does not provide any other form of support or substantive assistance during the exam
Special conditions
During the examination session, the candidate’s identity will be checked. Without proof of identity, the candidate cannot participate. In addition, the following rules apply:
- Eating, drinking, and leaving the room are not permitted.
- Headphones, MP3/MP4 players, caps, and hats are prohibited.
- Fraud or improper influence will result in expulsion and the invalidation of the diploma.
- Candidates who arrive late may be barred from participating.
Once a candidate has fulfilled the examination requirements, his/her details will be entered in the central diploma register unless the candidate indicates on this form next to his/her signature that he/she does not agree.
Supplies
- A computer
- Access document
- A pen
- An identity document (ID or driver’s license)
Nothing else should be put on the table.
Mobile phones and communication devices
Before the exam begins, all mobile phones and communication devices must be switched off completely or set to airplane mode. Candidates are not allowed to keep these devices on the table or within reach during the exam.
It is the candidate’s responsibility to store their device in a safe place (e.g., in a personal bag placed at the side of the room).
Candidates who do not follow these instructions will be excluded from the examination. The exam center does not store mobile devices and is not liable for loss or theft.
Exam procedure
The time available is displayed at the top right of the screen and indicates the time remaining. The left-hand side of the screen shows the number of questions from 1 to 40 (B-VCA) or 1 to 70 (SCO- SCC). Click the “next” button to go to the next question. To answer a question, click on the circle/square opposite the desired answer. Multiple answers are possible for some questions. If you want to return to a question and change it, you can do so by clicking on the “back” button. When the test is over, the result and wrong answers are displayed.
At the end of the exam
When the result appears on your screen; raise your hand to inform the examiner. The participant will record the score on the admission form and ask you to sign it. The examiner will also sign the admission form.
Proposals, complaints and disputes
Suggestions, complaints, and/or objections can be submitted on the back of the admission form. If you wish to object to the exam, you can note this immediately after the exam.
Certificate
The certificate will not be issued until the examination fee is paid.
Exam retake
Participants who fail the exam will be allowed to retake it during the next open session.
Diploma: period of validity – duplicate
The diploma is valid for 10 years.
Have you lost your certificate and would like a duplicate? Please send an e-mail to academy@prevom.be stating that the certificate has been lost. The cost of the duplicate is 30 euros (excluding VAT).
Would you still like to change your personal details after the scheduled check during the exam? Please send an email to academy@prevom.be stating this and providing the correct details. The cost for making changes is €30 (excluding VAT).
