And perhaps even more importantly, do they understand how the fire could have been prevented in the first place?
It is essential that every employee has basic knowledge of firefighting because, according to the Codex Book 3 Title 3 of Well-being at Work, every employer must establish a firefighting service any number of employees present in the company.
This approach ensures that at least one person is always available to intervene in the event of a fire incident, and also allows the size and resources of the firefighting service to be tailored to the specific fire risks within the company.
Duration
The training can be delivered as
a 4-hour programme (half day) or an 8-hour programme (full day) and takes place within a single day at your company’s premises.
Certificate of participation
Following the training, all participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
Price
4-hour programme: €1,570 excluding VAT (total price), plus travel expenses per training day,
for a maximum of 15 participants.

Our fire-fighting training course is specifically designed for employees who may be required to take responsibility for fire response and initial fire-fighting measures within a company or institution.

This includes:
- Prevent damage: Quick and effective use of small extinguishers can reduce serious damage.
- Save lives: Proper training can save lives in emergency situations.
- Legal requirement: Many countries have regulations that require employers to train their personnel in firefighting.

- You understand the fundamental principles of fire, including how an incipient fire starts and how it spreads.
- You know the fire triangle.
- You are thoroughly familiar with the different types of fire extinguishing equipment, as well as their characteristics, applications, and appropriate use.
- You understand the differences between the various fire classes and learn how fires are classified according to the types of materials involved.
- You have a clear understanding of the correct procedures and actions that must be followed when an incipient fire breaks out.
- You can extinguish fires of solids, liquids and gases using powder rapid extinguishers, CO2 rapid extinguishers and water.
- You are able to use a fire blanket correctly and effectively whenever the situation requires it.
- You are able to raise the alarm correctly and effectively in the event of a fire.
The client must provide a suitable training room equipped with a projector for the theoretical part of the portable fire extinguisher training course.
The following facilities must also be available:
- Access to a water supply connection
- Access to an electrical power supply
- A clear area of 20 x 20 metres is required for the practical exercise and for positioning the fire service vehicle.
Prevom provides a firefighting jacket, fire-resistant gloves, and a protective cap for all participants. We also supply the fire extinguishers, fire blanket, and all other equipment required for the training.
The location for this in-company portable fire extinguisher training must always be provided by the client.
This has several advantages, notably the fact that participants can learn in familiar surroundings.
This not only means fewer nerves thanks to familiar surroundings, but also improved practical insight!
The fire extinguisher training course, including both the theoretical and practical components, lasts approximately 4 hours and is delivered in a single day.
There is no exam for this training, neither for the theoretical part nor for the practical part. The participant will receive a certificate of participation after the fire safety training.
You will receive a certificate of participation from Prevom. This certificate will state that you have successfully completed the training.
If you have lost your attestation, it is best to discuss this with your employer. They can then contact Prevom.
We charge a €30 administrative fee for issuing a new certificate.

Both professional and private customers always receive a valid VAT invoice.
In the event of a no-show or cancellation by the client, the registration fee or invoice amount remains fully payable. The same applies when the customer requests a change of the appointment date within the two-week period preceding the scheduled appointment. The customer is entitled to reschedule the training once at no additional cost, provided that the request is submitted at least two weeks before the scheduled date.
If you do not participate in the examination or training, you will not be eligible to receive a certificate/attestation. To obtain a certificate/attestation, you must of course pass the examination/internal test.
We make every effort to ensure that no examination or training session is ever cancelled by Prevom. However, if cancellation becomes necessary due to exceptional reasons or extreme circumstances, you will be notified by phone or email.
In the event of a cancellation by Prevom, the registration fee will be fully refunded, without any additional compensation beyond the initial amount paid at the time of booking.
If, on the day of training, it is determined that the practice cannot be conducted safely, we reserve the right to discontinue the training without refunding the amount due.
